What are the responsibilities and job description for the Industrial Painter position at Employee Staffing Group?
Direct Hire opportunity with client located in Fenton. This is a 4 day 10 hour shifts position not starting at $18. Will negotiate depending on experience.
Skills:
- Perform “Power-Wash” and other pre-painting activities on parts in preparation for painting/fabrication.
- Apply liquid or powder coatings to fabricated metal products.
- Utilize instrumentation to measure painting parameters to ensure compliance with OEM specifications.
- Responsible for the application of industrial coatings in confined spaces.
- Assist in appropriately rigging large objects for the purpose of moving them in the process of applying the industrial coatings.Suggest tools and equipment to improve the operation of the unit.
- Assist in the maintenance of a clean and safe work environment and observe good safety habits.
- Adhere to all OSHA and HazMat Procedures with respect to the storage and handling of material in the area.
- Responsible for reporting malfunctions of equipment or processing to the supervisor.
Required Education and Experience:
- High School Diploma
- 1-2 years of liquid/powder coating application experience is a plus.
- Forklift experience is a plus, but not required. Will train.
- Overhead crane experience is a plus, but not required. Will train.
- Excellent stamina, strength, and dexterity.
- Ability to remain calm and focused under pressure.
- A willingness to learn and work overtime when required.
