Minimum 2 Years experience as an Assembly Technician.

Responsibilities of the Assembly Technician:

• Read, interpret, and follow basic blueprints, diagrams, engineering drawings, specifications, bills of materials, and other written instructions or procedures to accurately assemble equipment and products, gathering parts, subassemblies, tools, and materials.
• Position parts and subassemblies by using templates or reading measurements.
• Assemble components while examining interface locations for correct fit, fastening parts and subassemblies.
• Utilize handheld power tools such as screw gun and drill press
• Verify specifications by measuring the completed component.
• Resolve assembly problems by altering dimensions to meet specifications; notifying supervisor to obtain additional resources.
• Keep equipment operational by completing preventive maintenance requirements; following manufacturer's instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions; calling for repairs.
• Document actions by completing production and quality forms

Background Profile of the Assembly Technician:

• AS, BS Degree or 2 years of relevant experience in the manufacturing, aerospace, or automotive field preferred
• Manufacturing quality experience and use of mechanical inspection tools,
• Positive safety management and quality focus
• Mechanical troubleshooting skills
• Quality Inspection
• Soldering - IPC-610 a plus
• Comfortable standing for 8 to 10 hours a day.
• Electrical; troubleshooting skills
• Experience with the use of benchtop and power tools
• Self-directed ability to make Judgment calls and decision making
• Continuous improvement approach
• Computer skills; Google Docs, Microsoft Office Suite, etc.
• Lift up to 50 lbs.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $28.00 per hour
