As the Associate Analyst, you will work under the general direction of the Securitized Products Research Analysts, directly supporting the analysts’ research and investment process. Your specific responsibilities will include but are not limited to, the development and maintenance of processes designed to support the investment team, assist in writing risk reviews for new and existing investments, prepare and interpret results of performance and risk reporting, assist in the surveillance of investments, collect/organize/process market data and research.
This role requires a passion for technology, strong attention to detail, a high level of critical and creative thinking, the ability to problem solve and effectively prioritize tasks.
What you will do
- Assume, create, and improve upon processes designed to extract and organize data used to make individual investment decisions, monitor portfolios, execute strategy, and identify and quantify risks.
- Assist with organizing, preparing, and submitting credit reviews for both new and existing securitized product investments, ensuring the accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of these reports.
- Act as a point of contact for extra-departmental deliverables, research and resolve requests, prepare output, and communicate in a timely and accurate manner.
- Conduct secondary reviews of daily trade activity to ensure trades are recorded accurately in trading systems.
- Assist in the effort to continuously improve the efficiency and scalability of the team’s investment process.
- Prepare and maintain presentation materials for the investment team.
- Support the investment team in other Ad-hoc research requests
What you will bring
- Candidate must possess a B.A. or B.S. degree in Finance, Economics, or another quantitative field.
- A high level of proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, specifically Excel.
What will set you apart
- Strong technical and quantitative skills (Proficiency in programming languages such as R/Python/SQL are highly preferred).
- Proven ability to organize, process and analyze large data sets and draw well-reasoned conclusions.
- Up to 1 year of relevant business experience.
- Progress toward the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation preferred.
- Capable of effectively working in a team-based environment.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.

The salary range below describes the minimum to maximum base salary range for this position in the location listed. Non-sales positions have the opportunity to participate in a bonus program. Sales positions are eligible for sales incentives, and in some instances a bonus plan, whereby total compensation may far exceed base salary depending on individual performance. Actual compensation offered may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer.
