Work location: Sunnyvale, CA - fully onsite at the lab, no remote work, flexible hours. NO travel requirement.
Contract duration 1 year - likely to extend beyond.
The Worldwide Infrastructure and Engineering team (WWIE) provides access to numerous lab resources and cloud-based services. We specialize in network infrastructure, customer support, and lab services.
Must have:
- Eagerness to learn will be taught onsite.
- Min. H.S diploma
- Proof of vaccination NOT required
- 0-2 years experience working in a data center environment (team willing to train the right candidate).
Lab Technician - Responsibilities:
- Manage ticketing queue
- Lab Infrastructure support
- Resource coordination
- Inventory control
- Customer support
- Data storage support
- Server Farm support
- Hypervisor support
- Troubleshooting various software and hardware environments
- Rack and install data center equipment
- Open communication with various team leaders
Requirements:
- Knowledgeable of server hardware and software
- Knowledgeable of routers and switches
- Knowledgeable of Access Points and controllers
- Knowledgeable of traffic generators and testing equipment
- Knowledgeable of terminal servers and PDU equipment
- 0-2 years experience working in a data center environment
- Excellent time management skills.
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills.
- Strong interest in learning.
- Dependable.
- Process-oriented.
- Must be able to lift 70 lbs.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $15.00 - $17.50 per hour
