Job Posting for Electronic Publications Specialist at EMW, Inc.

  • Complete coding “tagging” in SGML and parsing using file standards for Technical Manual (TM), Modifications Work Order (MWO) and Depot Maintenance Work Request (DMWR)s
  • Use existing macros in plain ascii text editor to convert the information from PDF into .XML ensuring compliancy with Military Standard (MILSTD) 400051/ 38784/63029G series and DTD 2361C.
  • Test and analyze converted files; resolve technical issues with complex and/or
  • problematic files.
  • Test Repair Parts and Special Tool List (RPSTL) data for accuracy and submit errors to technical writer’s team.
  • Use regular expression scripting to extract graphic references from XML files and convert results into graphic_entity.xml file for future use.
  • Complete quality assurance process on existing technical manual to newly created XML files by comparing Military Standard (MILSTD) formatting, style, display and graphics. Completed figure and table placement addressing formatting changes.
