The Role at a glance:
We are looking for a skilled, experienced Accountant to join Elior North America’s corporate team in [City]. As an Accountant, you will have the opportunity to support the growth and operations of diverse accounts across the country.
What you'll be doing:
Job Overview: As an Operations Accountant you will be part of the Corporate Team reporting to a Revenue Manager. In this role you are responsible for performing accounting functions including billing, inventory reporting, and commission payment calculations in support of the Operations Management teams.
Key Accountabilities:
- Ensures accurate records for billing of clients for assigned units
- Ensures accuracy of processing cash management information including but not limited to cash sales verification, point of sale reconciliations, bank deposits and meal pay plus transactions
- Maintains accurate accounts receivable management information including but not limited to client information, invoice payments, and commission processing within the applicable system
- Ensures accurate processing of inventory for applicable operating units
- Prepares and completes assigned balance sheet reconciliations
- Preparation of weekly/monthly journal entries
What we're looking for:
Minimum Qualifications Required:
- Associates Degree or Equivalent Experience
- One to four years of experience in financial accounting
- Knowledge of basic accounting principles and recording journal entries
- Ability to make judgments concerning the interpretation of policies and procedures
- Experience with excel, intermediate knowledge required
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with Microsoft Dynamics GP and its reporting tools i.e. Management Reporter, and SmartView
Skills Required:
- Must have excellent oral and written communications skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Build relationships with internal and external business partners
- Ability to multitask and meet deadlines
- Must be able to work with little or no supervision in a team environment – self-motivated
- Strong organizational skills to maintain appropriate files and reports
