The Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH) is responsible for providing preventive dental care and oral health education to the community with a focus on underserved populations. The ideal dental hygienist will have a strong commitment to public health and a passion for improving the oral health of the community.
Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH) Responsibilities:
- Provide preventive dental care, including cleanings, fluoride treatments, and sealants
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques
- Screen patients for oral health problems and refer them to dentists for further treatment
- Develop and implement oral health education programs for the community
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to improve the oral health of the community
- Participate in research and evaluation activities to assess the effectiveness of oral health programs
Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH) Requirements:
- COVID-19 vaccinations and boosters
- Reliable personal vehicle
- Valid State driver's license
- Ability to pass a criminal background check
- Ability to pass a motor vehicle report (clean driving record required)
- Ability to treat medically compromised patients
Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH) Job-Type & Schedule:
- Part-Time (2-3 days per week)
- Monday-Friday work days
Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH) Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in dental hygiene from an accredited program
- State Registered Dental Hygienist/Dental Hygiene license
- Strong commitment to public health
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
