Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and professional Front Desk Receptionist to join our team. As the first point of contact for our medical office, you will play a crucial role in providing excellent customer service and ensuring smooth operations. The ideal candidate will have experience in medical scheduling, phone systems, and office administration.
Responsibilities:
- Greet patients and visitors in a friendly and professional manner
- Answer phone calls and direct them to the appropriate staff members
- Schedule appointments and maintain the appointment calendar
- Verify patient insurance information and collect necessary payments
- Maintain patient records and update information as needed
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations regarding patient privacy
- Assist with medical billing and coding tasks as required
- Handle incoming and outgoing mail, faxes, and emails
- Perform general administrative duties such as filing, data entry, and organizing documents
Skills:
- NO EXPERIENCE NECESSARY. WILLING TO TRAIN THE RIGHT PERSON.
- Proficient in medical terminology and understanding of medical procedures
- Familiarity with eClinicalWorks, Dentrix, or similar electronic medical record systems
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly and professional demeanor
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and patient privacy protocols
