We are seeking an experienced Wind Turbine Technician II to join our dedicated team! This role will provide subject matter expertise and problem-solving support to the team while contributing to the safe operations and maintenance of the turbines. Our ideal candidate has previous experience with turbines, is mechanically inclined and has knowledge and experience working with Acciona AW3000 platforms. What You Will Do: Adhere to Enbridge's safety standards, procedures and ensure a positive safety environment. Demonstrate integrity, strong initiative, work ethic, as well as a focus on safety and quality of work on a continuous basis. Supporting the completion of scheduled / standard work such as regular maintenance and troubleshooting of turbines (basic to more complex). Follow defined instructions and maintenance schedules, implementing plans as directed and perform tasks according to reasonably detailed written and verbal instructions. Read schematics to fix mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems with variable pitch, speed control systems, and wind turbine components. Identify risks and gaps in task execution in the operational environment of a Wind Turbine facility and apply mitigation methods with appropriate oversight. Who You Are: You will bring the following combination of education and experience: A High School Diploma with a minimum 3 years of applied mechanical, electrical, hydraulics, or equivalent experience. College Diploma or Technical School Certificate beneficial. Preferably 2 years of relevant work experience and knowledge of wind turbines. Working knowledge of Microsoft Windows programs. Ability to successfully participate in all training courses, including but not limited to, first aid, CPR and AED, climb and rescue training, and confined space training. Able to effectively collaborate with employees at all professional levels and to respectfully follow supervision. Note: The successful candidate will undergo various background screening that includes but is not limited to a 5-year driving record, criminal check, Education verification, a company sponsored medical and drug testing. Working Conditions: Although / the incumbent will be assigned to the Corpus Christi Chapman Ranch Wind Farm in particular, the technician may be called to travel to other Enbridge facilities as needed. Role requires a valid Driver’s License, which will be verified with a motor vehicle check prior to hire and ability to obtain a Passport. Role will require being on-call (24/7) to respond to emergencies and/or maintenance needs of the site (on a pre-determined, scheduled basis). Physical Requirements include but are not limited to: Balancing, bending and stooping, climbing, crawling, carrying (up to 50 pounds), grasping, kneeling, lifting (objects 50 pounds), pulling hand over hand, pushing, reaching above shoulder, repetitive motion, sitting, standing, walking, visual requirement (able to see screens, detect color coding, read fine print), hearing requirement. Must meet requirements of fit for work which includes, but is not limited to, demonstrating hand, arm, back and leg coordination needed to ascend and descend a wind tower and complying with a weight restriction of 132 kg (or 290lb) total climbing weight. Comfort working in enclosed spaces and at heights of 300 ft. Employee understands that these requirements may be modified at the Company's discretion.
