As a Business Architect, you will play a key role in contributing to the enterprise architecture function in terms of translating Business and TIS strategies into execution plans. The primary focus is aligning the business or functional area motivations and operations with the technology at the Enterprise-wide level as well as maintaining the underlying framework.
What you will do:
Steward Business & Technology roadmap strategy and framework to align business objectives with technology opportunities based on a situational awareness of various business scenarios and motivations
Lead joint efforts with BRMs to execute business and technology planning sessions to develop mid to long-term plans/roadmaps aligned to Enterprise business strategy and objectives to inform technology planning and business applications delivery plans
Lead/ support business case development for identified roadmap initiatives
Support the maintenance of the Enterprise Business Capability model
Lead/ inform evolution or establishment of TIS capabilities and processes required to meet Business Strategy demands
Capture and monitor the tactical and strategic enterprise goals that provide traceability through the organization and are mapped to metrics that provide ongoing governance
Provide mentorship and support to Enterprise Governance groups to ensure alignment and consistency in adhering to processes and alignment to corporate and TIS strategy
Interact with internal and external resources to understand technology trends and their application to the Business & Technology roadmap
Lead/support transformational initiatives to ensure organizational and process design follow a defined methodology
Develop, manage, and maintain the TIS Technology Governance Dashboard. Coordinate with TIS leaders regarding non-compliance issues
Manage and coordinate the Technology Risk Management process as it relates to Technology Governance
Oversee 3 - 5 small rationalization projects simultaneously.
Who you are:
Degree/diploma in Computing Science or similar Engineering fields.
7 years of experience in technology direction or senior architecture roles.
Excellent analytical problem solving, technical writing, verbal communication, and interpersonal skills.
A broad understanding of the Enterprise applications landscape and emerging technologies to be able to effectively support joint planning activities.
Minimum 3-years Project Management experience in IT.
Ability to work on and continuously deliver on numerous competing priorities simultaneously.
PM Certification is an asset.
