As the Senior Project Manager, you will lead assigned core electrical projects to predictably and competitively meet the scope, schedule, safety, environment, quality and financial objectives of each project.

What you will do:
Establish a safe work environment for employees and contractors by driving accountability for safety performance and by regularly reviewing and presenting policies, practices, expectations and positive reporting.
Participate in the development of the scope of work, schedule, costs and risks to ensure the project plan can be successfully executed, prior to transition to execution.
Understand and optimally use the project management systems and project management practices to achieve positive scope, schedule, quality and cost results and manage and mitigate risks on each project.
Report on project progress using key performance indicators to internal and external partners and management, pro-actively raising issues as needed.
Implement and manage changes to meet project objectives.
Demonstrate broad business and technical knowledge in resolving problems, project management and process improvements.
Effective communicator. Proactively advise Management on progress.
Lead diverse project teams of professionals and support staff, in a strong matrix structure, who may be located in multiple locations.
Who you are:
Bachelor's degree or diploma in Electrical Engineering from a recognized university or college or trade certification plus years of experience.
6 years of demonstrated ability related working experience in the pipeline industry, particularly in the electrical field.
Strong working understanding of project management methods and techniques, PMP certification or equivalent is an asset.
Strong leadership and management, including organizational and planning skills. This includes: leading meetings and set expectations for project team and internal and external partners.
Driving issues to closure.
Effective and professional interpersonal skills, both verbal and written, with peers, management, internal/external partners, vendors and service providers.
Role requires a valid driver's license, which will be verified with a motor vehicle check prior to hire.
Work Conditions:
Office environment.
Up to 30% travel to field locations (potentially during extreme weather conditions), regulatory agencies, customer offices and other Company offices.
Time commitments often extend beyond normal working hours.

Physical Requirements include but are not limited to:
Grasping, kneeling, light - moderate lifting (objects up to 20 pounds), reaching above shoulder, repetitive motion, typing, sitting, standing, visual requirement (able to see screens, detect color coding, read fine print), hearing requirement and the ability to sit at a computer for long periods of time.

Ability to: understand, remember and apply oral and/or written instructions or other information, understand complex problems and collaborate/explore alternative solutions, organize thoughts and ideas into understandable terminology, organize and prioritize work schedule on a short-term basis, make decisions which have moderate impact on the immediate work unit and monitor impact outside this area, understand and follow basic instructions and guidelines, complete routine forms, compose letters, outlines, memoranda and basic reports and communicate with individuals via telephone.
