What you will do:
- Enable the safe (personal and process safety) and efficient operation of the assets managed.
- Ensure compliance with the safety standards.
- Daily support of the Sampling System and performance for each vessel movement
- Support Delta V programmers with the overall functionality and that all oil movements within the Terminal and are accomplished in a proper and efficient manner.
- Provide customer service with respect to inspectors and vessel confirmation reports with measurement tickets and sample requests.
- Assist Operations Supervisor with OpEx budget control and improve processes where possible.
- Assume delegated responsibility during Operations Supervisor absence.
- Serve as an alternate site contact for projects and contractor activities.
- Issue appropriate permits and authorizations if needed.
- Assist Shift Foreman with identifying issues and direct day to day tasks for operations.
- Assist Shift Foreman with expediting operational performance for day to day tasks.
- Support measurement audits and ensure deficiencies are promptly addressed.
- Assist with VCU troubleshooting methods and procedures to ensure environmental compliance per our air permit
Who you are:
You have:
- Related university degree and six-plus years' experience OR eight-plus years of previous field operations experience, OR equivalent mix of formal education and experience
- Expertise in Marine Terminal Loading Operations
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
You can:

- Strong leadership and teambuilding skills
You are:
- A valid driver's license & clean driving record
- Good computer (software and app) skills
- Oil/gas pipeline and tank farm operations knowledge
The following are considered assets:
- Knowledge of environmental air, water, and waste compliance
- Knowledge of security issues and protocols
Working Conditions:
- Primarily field oriented, with specific office duties for training, meetings, documentation of required tasks as required by the US Department of Transportation and other regulatory agencies.
- Typical work schedule of M-F 40 hours/week, with the 9/80 optional
- Occasional long hours, weekends, and on-call required.
- Must be willing to respond to emergencies as necessary.

Physical Requirements include but are not limited to:
Grasping, kneeling, light - moderate lifting (objects up to 20 pounds), reaching above shoulder, repetitive motion, typing, sitting, standing, visual requirement (able to see screens, detect color coding, read fine print), hearing requirement and the ability to sit at a computer for long periods of time.
