Cloud Information Systems Architect

Overview

Encantado Technical Solutions is seeking an experienced Cloud Information Systems Architect to support a major national laboratory. 

The mission is to lead implementation, operations and management of world-class Enterprise Cloud Infrastructure, Platforms and Services while providing IT Moderniztion leadership to Cloud-Native practices. 

This position is 100% onsite due to the nature of the work.

Responsibilities

• Perform the full-cycle management (analysis, design, development, testing, implementation, integration and maintenance) of Enterprise Public Cloud services.
• Work on critical issues caused by policies to support customers.
• Identify issues within our policy framework or develop new policies.
• Manage cloud operations and security tools.
• Investigate threats and potential cybersecurity tools.
• Partner with our cybersecurity team on cloud-related incidents.
• Work with our Cyber Assurance team on assessments of control.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Management Information Systems, Cybersecurity or related field and 4 years of experience is Azure Commercial cloud.
• In lieu of a degree, an additional 6 years of related experience is needed, totaling 10 years.
• S. Citizenship is required per contract to obtain and maintain a U.S. Department of Energy Q security clearance.
• Experience with security or governance type positions
• Experience with NIST 800-53 controls

Desired skills:

• Active DOE “L” or “Q” clearance
• Experience with cloud services (OpenStack, Azure Stack AWS).
• Solid understanding of virtual computing and virtualization.
