Decor & Signage Assistant

Is to inspire joy and connection by joining a team of creatives to pioneer a world class event that includes an amazing light maze,  food, drink, and Christmas Village experience while amplifying the Enchant story of innovation, creation and magical moments.   

COMMITMENT: Dates may change based on location

• Venue Advance: Oct 24-Oct.31, 2022 (8hrs per day / mon-fri)
• Install: Nov 01-26, 2022 (10-12 hrs per days / 7am - 7pm / 6 days per week)
• Show: Nov 26-Jan 1, 2023, (8-10 hrs per days / 3pm - midnight / 5 days per week)
• Strike: Jan 02-15, 2023 (10-12 hr days / 7am - 7pm / 6 days per week)

May include some travel for training purposes.

• Must commit to the entire production run from the pre-event to the load-out
• Must be prepared to work each day of the Load-in, Install, Run-of-Show,  Strike and Load-out
• This includes the holiday season:  Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas day, New Years Eve and New Years Day
• Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time.
• Ability to lift up to 40lbs.

WHO WE ARE:  

We are creators of a magical event called Enchant Christmas. We have hosted over three million guests over the past 5 years and have experienced significant growth. While Christmas is a big part of what we do, it is only the beginning of where we intend to go.

GENERAL ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Driving a guest experience that exceeds expectations - measured by NPS score
• Assist with the overall decor, creativity and finishing details for the event
• Assist with the overall event signage layout, installation and signage maintenance for the run of the event.  
• Must be able to work from reasonable heights, including the use of ladders and lifts.
• Lift certified or willingness to receive on-site training.
• Follows all departmental/company policies and procedures, setting an example by actions, interactions, and reactions, and makes suggestions for improvements.
• Ensure the team is practicing safe workplace procedures as outlined by the Enchant Safety & Health Guidelines.
• Participates in the execution of emergency management plans.
• Follows requirements of Enchant Employee Handbook including attendance, demeanor, and work habits to the extent applicable.
• Acts in accordance with the Mission and Attributes, Core Values of Enchant at all times.
• Is proactive in promoting the vision of Enchant and experience of each person served.
• Reports incidents of abuse, neglect, or mistreatment promptly.
• Adheres to Policy on Ethical Conduct and reports violations.
• Executes responsibilities in an effective and efficient manner.
• Reports to the Production Manager and City Decor and Signage Lead

WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TEAM:

• Your own personal values are aligned with those of Enchant: Pioneering, Driven, Earnest, Generous, Magical.
• A minimum 2 years of decor, props, window dressing or set dressing experience preferred.
• A positive and enthusiastic attitude.
• Demonstrates flexibility and creative problem-solving skills to create a premium experience.

• Possess business acumen and understand the important balance of making creativity come to life within budget or timeline constraints -your goal is to deliver a high standard on both. 
• A curious and innovative mindset. It’s not uncommon for you to start a sentence with “This might be crazy but what if we….”
• Self-directed, extremely meticulous and organized with an ability to manage a high level of detail across multiple projects and prioritize tasks when given clearly defined objectives.
• You are a highly proficient communicator, and establish cooperative relationships with a variety of internal and external clients. 

Pre-Event and Load-In Responsibilities: 

1. Complete On-Boarding program.
2. Complete lift training if necessary.
3. Assist with the organization and staging of all decor and signage
4. Assist with the execution and installation of the approved Decor and Signage plan for the overall event, including but not limited to maze, ice rink, village, santa experience, VIP areas, photo ops, tavern, 21 , the suite decor, entrance, exit and any special event or activations as directed.
5. Assist with the overall plan for vendors to ensure Enchant brand standards are achieved.
6. Provide periodic reports to the Lead as requested.

Event duties: 

1. Perform day to day set-up, maintenance, and end-of-day closing of the decor and signage activations during the event.  
2. Be proactive in requesting replacements and backup so the event is maintained and is always picture perfect each day.
3. Patrol the event during run-of-show to make sure nothing is out of place or could cause harm.  Perform needed adjustments without drawing attention.  
4. Report any problems to your Lead and Managers.  
5. Assist the Marketing and Sales Team to execute programming required for Enchant theme nights, suite and private party sales.

Post Event Management: Strike, Load-Out

1. Assist with the strike, proper storage and documentation of all specific decor and signage.
2. Assist with inventory and recording of the asset conditions (good, broken, missing etc.)

CERTIFICATIONS 

• OSHA 10 training
