EnCircle focuses on building each clinician’s skills through their own individual interests and will provide support with training and tuition assistance. EnCircle also provides paid supervision hours for those who are a License Eligible Professional Counselor or LPC-Resident.
GENERAL STATEMENT OF JOB
The Mental Health Clinician position is primarily responsible for providing psychotherapy to individuals, families, and groups and maintaining all pertinent billing information and charting information per insurance standard. This is a contracted hourly position with the possibility of moving to a full-time salary position after six months. Preference for this position is experience working with children and adolescents.

MINIMUM EDUCATION, TRAINING, REQUIREMENTS AND PREREQUISITES
- Master’s degree in Counseling, Social Work or other Human Services field.
- Licensure in Virginia or license eligible required (License Eligible must be seeking license through Board of Counseling).
- Knowledge of and ability to comply with state licensing, Medicaid, and other accreditation standards.
- Must be insurance paneled/credentialed to obtain insurance contracts with all major insurance companies, or must obtain paneling and credentialing within 90 days of employment.
- Ability to work independently.
- Ability to work through telehealth or in office.
- Ability to work effectively with people from diverse backgrounds.
- Familiarity with state licensing and Medicaid standards preferred.
- Ability to work a flexible work schedule including weekend and evening work.
- Ability to acquire First Aid and CPR Certification.
- Good oral, written, interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to organize work effectively.
- Ability to maintain records, prepare reports and required paperwork according to licensing and agency requirements on a timely basis.
- Ability to utilize Electronic Record Keeping System (SimplePractice).
SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Essential Functions: May be required to perform any of the following duties:
- Collaborates and builds partnerships for increasing referrals and marketing of program.
- Works with Clinical Supervisor regarding clinical program goals, program development.
- Maintains confidentiality of records relating to clients’ treatment.
- Prepares and maintains all required treatment records and reports.
- Develops and implements treatment plans based on clinical assessment and in conjunction with client and/or family.
- Conducts initial bio psychosocial assessment for appropriate diagnosis.
- Diagnoses, assesses and implements effective interventions for clients to increase overall life satisfaction.
- Provides on-going evaluation and assessment to determine appropriateness of treatment course and adjusts as necessary to diagnosis, treatment approach and goals.
- Responsible for oversight, preparation and maintenance of all case documentation as required by agency, and Medicaid and Insurance provider standards including daily therapy notes, treatment plan documentation, bio psychosocial assessments.
- Maintains and submits all pertinent billing information in a timely fashion.
- Maintains personal time records on cases for billing purposes.
