POSITION SUMMARY:
This EAP Clinician maintains strong client relations and ensures that EAP services are well utilized. Counseling responsibilities include providing assessment, short-term counseling, crisis intervention, case management, and management consultations. Counseling services are provided by telephone, video, and in-person. Covid-19 safety protocols are in place for counselors and clients in all of our offices.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES & DUTIES:
- Performs clinical work including assessments, crisis management, short-term counseling, resource referrals, and case management follow up.
- Responsible for providing clinical services at the point of employee or dependent client interface, via telephone, video or in-person.
- Provides management and organizational consultations to employer customer contacts, as well as responds to workplace trauma, crisis, and loss.
- Manages work-life and resource request customer inquiries, in collaboration with the Work-Life Specialist.
- Serves as a clinical expert and ready resource for EAP Intake Specialists, when they require additional support in providing professional, thorough, and timely customer service to both employee and employer clients to optimize efficiency and customer service.
- Services accounts by creating strong partnerships with Human Resources liaisons, assessing organizational needs, contributing thought-leadership articles, and being proactive to help ensure strong EAP visibility and utilization.
- Enters relevant client interface data into the EAP Expert database system within established timelines.
- Performs other related duties as needed and/or required.
QUALIFICATIONS :
- Master’s Degree in Social Work, Counseling, or Psychology required.
- 3 years of post-Master’s degree clinical experience.
- Currently licensed and in good-standing in the State of Michigan within a Mental Health profession (LLPC, LPC, LMSW, MSW, TLLP, LLP).
- Outstanding interpersonal, communication, organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Strong customer service skills.
- Previous EAP experience preferred but not required.
- Ability to provide psychoeducational and training presentations, both virtually and in-person.
- Substance Abuse Professional (SAP) qualification preferred but not required.
