Full-time, non-exempt
$21.00 per hour
DAIS is seeking a Case Manager to join our team. Case Managers at DAIS provide crisis-based trauma informed services to victims of intimate partner violence and their children. Case Management services at DAIS are provided using a strengths-based approach and include crisis management, safety planning, advocacy, resource referrals, and parenting support. In addition, Case Managers collaborate with other program staff at DAIS to ensure client needs are addressed as identified, including collaborating closely with Shelter staff to assist in meeting the needs of clients utilizing our shelter services. Case Managers at DAIS also collaborate with other service providers throughout Dane County and will be expected to travel to various partnership sites around Dane County to meet with clients in confidential locations. This position is primarily scheduled during business hours; however, some evening hours may be necessary.

Primary responsibilities
- Provide crisis based, trauma informed case management services to victims of domestic violence.
- Research and provide resource referrals to clients
- Assist with safety planning for clients
- Communicate with community partners on behalf of clients
Qualifications
- A four-year college or university degree is preferred though relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
- Experience working with victims of trauma and their children required.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and an attention to detail required.
- Knowledge of domestic violence issues strongly preferred.
- Experience working with individuals and families from diverse backgrounds preferred.
- Experience in crisis intervention preferred.
- Knowledge of community resources in Dane County preferred
- Excellent computer skills including knowledge of and experience with Microsoft Office preferred.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred
- Valid driver’s license, proof of vehicle insurance & access to an automobile for use during work hours
