WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
Our Endava family is growing! We are seeking a Solution Architect to join our Retail/Consumer product team. As a Solution Architect at Endava, you will have experience in the Retail/CPG industry, with a strong understanding of delivering technical solutions to external clients. You must have knowledge of eCommerce, technical strategies, presales support, proposals, bids, and building relationships with clients to tailor technical solutions.
As the Solution Architect, you will act as the ultimate technical contact for the client and our functional Delivery Managers within Endava, as well as working closely with the near-shore delivery team that typically supplies designers and architecture services for the project.
You will set technical strategy for across the retail Account Group, working with all of the service offer owners to tailor and focus the offers for the Account Group’s market, within Endava’s overall technical strategy.

Responsibilities:
- Set technical strategy for across the retail Account Group, working with all of the service offer owners to tailor and focus the offers for the Account Group’s market, within Endava’s overall technical strategy.
- Provide senior level pre-sales support as required by the Account Group for current and prospective clients.
- Document solutions and architecture in partnership with Endava Delivery Managers (and other technical SMEs as needed) as part of proposals, or to provide guidance to the delivery teams.
- Technical review of the various projects within an account, to ensure the solution objectives are met.
- Oversee and provide technical support in the larger, more complex, and more critical projects, running within the Account Group, to assure delivery and implementation of technical strategy.
- Oversee the technical quality of project delivery across the Account Group, ensuring that Endava’s quality management and review processes are working effectively.
- Run research and proof-of-concept exercises for new technologies at project and Account Group level.
- Coordinate, and where applicable, deliver technical training for the Account Group.
- Contribute to the development of Endava’s overall service and proposition portfolio by taking on capability development projects beyond the Account Group.
- Connect and network with other technical leads, subject matter experts, and delivery locations in Endava to understand capabilities across the organization.
- Understand and align approach to the Endava Retail Propositions as developed by the Endava Retail Industry Vertical Team.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience.
- Minimum 8 years of relevant experience.
- Retail, Consumer Products, and eCommerce industry experience.
- Previous experience in a technical project delivery discipline, which may include solutions architecture, systems design, software development, business analysis or testing.
- Deep and broad technical capability, being widely recognized as a highly capable individual contributor in the relevant technical discipline.
- Leadership capabilities to lead, mentor and develop technical staff (direct and indirect reports).
- Good appreciation of technical risk management, change management, configuration management, reliability and safety methods and the use of metrics.
- Cross-functional knowledge of other areas, such as, user experience, data analytics, application management, infrastructure and testing, as well as development and AI.
- Detailed practical knowledge of IT infrastructure and software development, as well as maintenance methods, tools and techniques used in client projects.
- Communication skills that allow influence across a global stakeholder group of technical professionals, senior managers, and clients.
- The ability and desire to learn new things quickly, often in a self-directed way, to grow and keep pace with the industry and Endava’s evolving service offer portfolio.
- Innovative mindset with a good grasp of the SDLC.
- The ability to confidently engage with clients, face-to face or remotely, to represent Endava’s capabilities and work to resolve problems or concerns.
