Responsibilities for automation technician Assists with the installation of new automation systems and production equipment as needed Identify and diagnose failures, replaces defective components, and performs basic troubleshooting using standard electronic equipment, detailed drawings, and machine manuals May provide backup assistance to Department Lead by assigning daily task to operators and/or assemblers as needed Provides operators and/or assemblers with the safe operation of equipment (J.S.A’s) Assists operators in machine set-ups and adjustments as required Performs operator and/or assembly work as needed Reports any safety violation, machine equipment problems or misusage, and non-conformance work to Manager Reads Schematics and Manufacturing Order (MO) for product specification Inspects product using calipers, micrometer, scales, templates, or other measuring instruments to verify conformance to schematics Direct contractors and / or employees to implement projects and maintenance Provide field support of instrumentation (flow, temperature, pressure), well controls (RTU and PLC), communications network (radio, cell modem), and electrical equipment (480 VAC/3 phase and below) Provide technical support and services for I&EC aspects of the well pad equipment for Pumpers and other asset personnel Build, interpret, and verify project documents for installation and maintenance of facilities and well pad equipment (I&EC) Build RTU, radio, and device configurations for newly installed I&EC equipment Configure and commission new installs with pre-built configurations Program serial and I/P radios for remote and backhaul communications (900 MHz, 3.65 GHz) Provide technical support and help manage specialty and pilot projects in conjunction with well and lease operations Perform major building electrical, construction, automation programing and other services relating to the upkeep of the facility and production equipment Check the operation of machines and trouble-shoots electronic, electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, electronic equipment and automation problems according to manufacturer's specifications or best method practices Perform complex repairs, calibrations, preventative and predictive maintenance on machines and equipment using various procedures, tools and equipment Diagnose and resolve PLC issues using ladder logic, sequential logic and text based logic programs Maintain work orders on a daily basis Submit reports and communicate efficiently with team members and management Perform planned, predictive and reliability maintenance activities in accordance with recommended schedules on a wide variety of production equipment, building, facility, fixtures, and systems to ensure that equipment is operating within manufacturer’s design specifications Utilize current work order based IFS software for asset/spare parts management, and communicate with management for planning, scheduling, reporting and automated work generation activities Follow the current incident management system, escalation plans and on-call policy as first line of defense against issues that impact production Effectively communicate between Engineering and Manufacturing teams Qualifications for automation technician Able to read and interpret electrical schematics, mechanical diagrams including complex automated system drawings Proper use of power tools and measuring equipment--must have and maintain all hand and test tools required to maintain automated equipment Computer proficient--Microsoft Windows based computer operation 2-5 years of Electrical experience Must have a valid drivers license to perform duties assigned Endeavor Energy Resources, LP is an Equal Opportunity Employer and does not discriminate in regard to race, color, creed, age, religion, ancestry, national origin, sex, genetics, marital status or disability.
