JOB PURPOSE:
The Deputy Director for Night Operations is responsible for the management of all operations directly applicable to the primary mission of Pecos Children’s Center (PCC). The DDNO will report to the Site Director on all aspects of the operations of the facility during the P.M. Shift. The DDNO will oversee the following sections and branches during the PM shift: Security, Safety, Information Management, Case Management, Vendor Relations, Logistics & Planning, Personnel Relations, Shelter Programs, and will also coordinate with all vendors/partners, federal partners, and PC Management on any relevant issues during the PM shift. The Deputy Director is responsible for performing the role of Director in a relief capacity when called upon to do so.
ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Supervise all operational tasks (e.g., intake, discharge, programming schedules, security, shelter operations, etc.).
- Liaison with federal partners to ensure all contractual obligations are being met.
- Advise the Director in all Human Resource and personnel matters (e.g., promotions, demotions, demobilizations, and investigations).
- Conduct and facilitate operations and sync meetings.
- Reassign personnel within the organization in consultation with Endeavors leadership.
- Compile and display site status information in daily reports to leadership.
- Establish information requirements and reporting schedules for units (e.g., Resources and Situation Units).
- Determine the need for specialized resources.
- Assemble and disassemble Task Forces and Strike Teams.
- Be prepared to assume the role of Director as necessary.
- Draft ConOps, participate and lead expansion efforts.
- Oversee preparation and execution of the Demobilization Plan as directed by MS leadership.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:
EDUCATION: High School Diploma or College Degree is required.
EXPERIENCE: 3 or more years of job-related experience as Deputy Director, working with shared leadership and cross functional teams in an ORR environment.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Communication skills. The Deputy Director for Night Operations must be able to document and present their research and related information. A great Administrator has excellent communication and organizational skills, is well versed in departmental procedures and policies, and can discover ways to do the job more efficiently.
- Computer skills. The Deputy Director for Night Operations needs to have excellent computer skills. Proficiency in all Microsoft Office, Prezi and SharePoint preferred.
- Interpersonal skills. The Deputy Director for Night Operations spends a lot of time working with PCC Departments, directors and other professionals and must be able to develop good relationships. They must make everyone feel comfortable yet know what and when to share.
- Organizational skills. The Deputy Director for Night Operations will have multiple PCC related projects consistently. They must adapt quickly to changing deadlines and thus be flexible.
ATTENDANCE: Must maintain regular and acceptable attendance at such level as is determined at the employer’s sole discretion. Works business hours but the position requires support before and after workday and weekends as assigned.
LICENSES: Driver’s License with clear record.
VEHICLE: Must have daily use of a vehicle without prior notice.
OTHER: Must be available and willing to travel to Pecos, Texas and various locations and with such frequency as the business need dictates.
THE DEPARTMENT HEAD MUST APPROVE EXCEPTIONS TO THESE CRITERIA.
LOCATION: On-Site Pecos Children Center. Dependent upon projects deliverables and priority. Must not pose a direct threat or significant risk of substantial harm to the safety or health of himself/herself or others. Must be able to obtain and maintain a Federal Background Clearance.
