What are the responsibilities and job description for the Match Grant Program Coordinator position at Endeavors?
JOB PURPOSE: Endeavors seeks a Program Coordinator, Matching Grant to facilitate self-sufficiency for refugees, immigrants, parolees, asylees and human trafficking victim through collaboration with community stakeholders and provision of intensive case management.
ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Works with clients to identify opportunities for skill development and career advancement.
- Develops self-sufficiency plans for individuals and families to attain self-sufficiency goals, address barriers to employment and identify and make use of appropriate community resources.
- Collaborates with area non-profits, employers and other community agencies to strengthen self-sufficiency for clients.
- Refers clients for supportive services within HIAS Austin and to other community organizations, as necessary.
- Maintains ongoing understanding of any education, employment and other social challenges
- faced among refugees residing in the Austin, Texas service areas.
- Identifies opportunities to provide employment and cultural orientation within refugee
- communities.
- Identifies opportunities to strengthen dialogue and relationships between refugee communities and public and private stakeholders.
- Provides case management for refugee and immigrant populations with various issues such as
- but not limited to employment and education, housing, health, legal and social services.
- Attends local job fairs and responds to job advertisements by local businesses.
- Ensures follow-up with employers where there has been a suitable employment match identified.
- Works with management team to ensure file review process is carried out and that necessary adjustments are made for programs within Education & Employment programs.
- Keeps case notes and other files current.
- Documents all client interactions; creates progress reports and notes challenges.
- Maintains client records in compliance with organization policy and reimbursement standards.
- Works with supervisor to plan and identify program outcomes and oversee tracking of
- progress.
- Attends and participates in staff meetings for supervision, team building and program planning.
- Participates in regular supervision sessions to review cases, discuss employment strategy and monitor client progress.
- Maintains client confidentiality and ensures that all office and record security procedures are followed.
- Maintains a positive, respectful demeanor in all contacts with staff and the public.
- Works to build positive, productive relationships with other staff

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS: Knowledge of Austin, TX area service provider community resources required. Proven ability to contribute both independently and as a key team member. Proficiency in a second language spoken by the local refugee population is strongly preferred.
EDUCATION: Undergraduate degree in social work, social sciences, non-profit management, or related field preferred.
EXPERIENCE: 2-3 years of relevant experience working in affordable housing, homeless services, and/or refugee resettlement. Knowledge of U.S. Refugee Program and common refugee needs; previous work experience at a resettlement affiliate strongly preferred.
ATTENDANCE: Must maintain regular and acceptable attendance at such level as is determined in the employers sole discretion. Ability to work outside of the 9-5 schedule, as needed.
LICENSES: Drivers License with clear record.
VEHICLE: Valid drivers license with access to reliable transportation
OTHER: Must be available and willing to travel to various locations (including travel to insecure operating environments) with such frequency as the business need dictates. Proficiency in a second language preferred.

ORGANIZATION: Excellent planning and organizational skills; ability to prioritize, manage time efficiently in a fast-paced work environment and remain flexible in an ever-changing landscape for refugee issues.
TRAINING REQUIREMENTS:
Orientation: MS-OST, New Employee Orientation, program-specific training
MACHINES, TOOLS, EQUIPMENT, WORK AIDS:
Multi-line telephone, computer, ten key calculator, printers, copiers, faxes. Knowledge of Microsoft 365 platform, including SharePoint and MS Teams, preferred; proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word is essential. Proficiency in IRIS preferred.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Constant Ability to communicate with management, staff and clients over the telephone and in person.
Constant Ability to input data into computer, make calculations, complete paperwork, and produce reports.
Constant Ability to sit for prolonged periods of time.
Occasional Ability to move to different offices throughout the building.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
Environment: Must be able to work and sleep in austere environments without modern comforts and luxuries.
