What are the responsibilities and job description for the Commodity Buyer position at Endries?
As a Commodity Buyer, it is more than just a position. You will play an integral role in the supply chain process by managing our current inventory levels. It is the work you do, along with other team members that help us exceed our customers’ expectations. This position can be located in either Brillion, WI with opportunity to work remote after training.

Essential Functions
- Replenish appropriate inventory through system signals to maintain stocking levels that support customer usage
- Review and update order controls to maintain a fill rate of 95% on stock items
- Implement blanket purchase orders in an effort maintain Inventory Turn levels
- Resolution of Accounts Payable issues within department guidelines
- Resolution of supplier non-conformances with department guidelines
- Expedite products or locate parts to avoid customer outages
- Address and resolve purchase order acknowledgement issues in a timely manner (price, delivery & quantity discrepancies)
- Manage and respond to emails on a daily basis
Required Experience/Skills
- 1-2 years of buyer, purchasing, or procurement experience
- Skilled in demand planning and Excel software
- Strong negotiating skills
- Excellent problem solving and analytical skills
- Able to thrive in a fast-paced work environment
- Ability to adjust priorities, handle multiple tasks simultaneously, and meet established expectations
- Exceptional attention to detail & accuracy
- A genuine concern for customers and fellow team members
- Strong basic math skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Preferred Experience/Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in purchasing, inventory, or supply chain management or related field
- Related industry experience & product knowledge
