The Assistant Site Supervisor will support field coordination managing the assets of the assigned project(s). The primary focus of the position is the operations and maintenance of the project’s WTGs and balance of plant equipment including the substation, collection system and other high voltage equipment
What You'll Do at Enel::
- Assist in the management of third party service providers insuring achievements of established contract requirements and established performance objectives.
- Conduct QA/QC inspections on project assets including substation, collection system, WTGs, etc.
- Complete inventory requirements accounting for all spare parts stored or utilized at the project location.
- Ensures compliance of the yearly predictive maintenance plan as directed by Wind Site Supervisor.
- Recommends improvement projects during the annual budgeting process to improve the operational efficiency and/or safe operations of the project.
- Ensures compliance with NERC Program as directed by EGP-NA compliance Director, Electrical Maintenance Manager, and Wind Site Supervisor.
- Ensures compliance with EGP-NA HSEQ policies and procedure and leads HSEQ programs for assigned sites.
Work with SAP PM in the development of Notifications, Work Orders and including entering pertinent information into the notification and time into the Work Order.- In SAP PM create reservations for the use of inventory stock as a part of the management of a work order.
- Cultivate and maintain excellent relationships with all project participants, including landowners, purchasing off-takers, interconnected utilities, contractors, etc.
- Other tasks and projects as directed by the Operations Supervisor
- Must be able to perform work with minimal supervision.
Completes required reporting functions including but not limited to SAP PM, established safety reports, environmental reports, SCADA reporting, etc.
- 3 years of operations and maintenance or construction experience, wind energy background preferred
- 2 Years troubleshooting electrical and hydraulic systems.
- Vestas V100/V110 Mk7H, MK10 trouble shooting experience strongly preferred.
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Experience managing third party service providers preferred but not necessary.
- Project contract management experience preferred but not necessary.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office products for word processing spreadsheets, project scheduling, photo processing, and e-mail reporting.
- SAP experience is preferred but not necessary.
- Must be able to travel 25%
- Comfortable working at heights of 300 feet or more and the ability to perform essential physical functions of the job with or without reasonable accommodation; this includes working in scissor lifts, lifting 50 lbs. on a daily continuous basis sometimes overhead, meeting the weight requirement of safety gear, 300 lbs. or less., and working in PPE such as arc flash suits/facemasks and high voltage gloves for extended periods of time.
- Must possess valid drivers’ license and be willing to travel with limited advance notice and to work flexible hours, including weekends, holidays and nights:
- A clean driving record means in the last 3 years, no driving-related suspension, revocation or cancellation, no disqualifying offenses, no more than 2 moving violations and no reckless driving incidents.
- In the last 5 years, no major driving offenses including DUI/DWI, refusal to test, leaving the scene, driving a commercial vehicle without a CDL, or at-fault fatal accident.
Ability to work within extreme weather conditions including high & low temperatures, extreme winds, etc.- Excellent communications, interpersonal, and organizational skills required.
