The Opportunity:

This position is primarily responsible to provide support services and reporting on environmental/complianceissues to the Operations & Maintenance(O&M)organization in the areas of; air emissions, water,existing licensesand permits, wildlife, habitat and noxious weeds, cultural resourcesandwetland resources.

 

Activities will be at Wind, Geothermal, Solar and Battery Storagefacilities. This position may also provide business unit support on environmental/compliancematters and related to; asset merger and acquisition, environmental/compliancecosts and complex environmental/complianceresource studies such as avian, habitat, air quality and recognized environmental/complianceconditions.

What You'll Do at Enel:

Responsibilities, include, but not limited to:

 

  • Overseeregulatorycompliancewith the support of the regional HSEQ Specialists.
  • Oversee contactagreementsof existing or potential environmental contractors or suppliers in order to expedite the delivery of services and purchased materials.
  • Interpret and determine relevant environmental/complianceregulations for EGPNA renewable energy projects based on in-depth existing regulatory process knowledge, review of web based information or discussions with agency personnel.
  • Manage complianceenvironmental studies forO&M.
  • Develop and maintain environmental/complianceactivityproject schedules and managetotheestablished budgetedcosts.
  • May assist in environmental/compliance forpotential asset acquisition and merger or potential sale, Including but not limited to the review of existing data room information and interaction with seller counter parts. Providing information to potential buyers of projects and respond to environmental inquiries from banks and other possible equity partners related to project financing activities. Prepare analytical reports on due diligence activities and environmental/compliancecosts with support from manager.
  • Develop regulatory compliance matrices in the environmentaland permitting areas listed above to provide implementation guidance on compliance matters to O&M.
  • Support ISO certification in the safety, environmentaland quality areas.
  • Support O&M in tracking completion of requirements in the environmental/ compliance areas listed above.
  • Complete site and environmental risk assessments.

Who You Are:

  • Associates Degree or equivalent
  • Minimum of 3 years of related experience
  • 25% travel required
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Detailed knowledge of environmental and compliance requirements
  • Negotiation and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong public speaking skills.
  • Strong writing skills for complex project reports and regulatory agency submittals
  • Audit skills with the ability to reach mutually agreeable solutions
  • Proficiency in WORD and Excel software.

What Enel Offers You:

The hiring range for this position is $63,600.00 per year to $79,500.00 per year. For remote positions, this is based on a national average base pay for this role. For positions in California this range will be specific to the location in California. The actual range may vary based on the geographic location of the chosen candidate. For all positions, the base pay actually offered will take into account various factors, including internal equity and job-related knowledge, skills and experience.
