Main Purpose A Solar Data Analyst Associate is responsible for the timely response and investigation of faults on Solar PV installations, supporting field teams working on customer sites and managing and maintaining monitoring systems and services. Performing analysis of historic Solar PV data to ensure performance KPIs are achieved or exceeded, and contractual obligations are maintained. Running O&M reports showing the performance of Solar PV installations. Engaging with and supporting both internal teams and external partners through delivery of Solar PV installations. The role would suit a candidate who possesses the skills necessary to effectively interpret data from multiple sources, identify anomalies in the data and asset operation which may impact efficiency, then design and implement technical solutions. Reporting and presentation of the process of investigation and suggested solutions is vitally important. The role is heavily dependent upon verbal communications, at all levels. Whilst on duty the jobholder is responsible for taking initiative and making decisions, he/she plays a key role in limiting our financial exposure related to unplanned outages. Use of common Windows software will be required daily. Key Accountabilities Use Solar PV monitoring system to assess communication issues, identify data loss and perform checks on data integrity. Analysis of asset data to assess plant output, availability and performance, identify and validate any anomalies found. Run O&M reports for internal and external stakeholders. Explains technical concepts and finds pragmatic solutions for the monitoring and supporting Solar PV installations. Liaise with design and construction teams to ensure efficient commissioning and hand over of new sites. Ensure maximum availability of the portfolio of Solar PV assets through efficient incident management and escalation to field teams. Monitor historic performance of assets, systems and procedures and take necessary actions to continuously improve. Grow and share expertise on operations activities within the team and throughout the CBS organisation. Support innovation projects and new developments. Key Stakeholders and Working Relationships Sourcing & Sales and Go-to-Market: face-to-face to monitor the implementation and delivery of our services. Prospects/Clients: face-to-face/over the phone during implementation phase and on ad-hoc basis in operations. Manager: face-to-face to review progress, prioritize and request advice. Peers within the team: coordinate and exchange experience. Sourcing & Sales: over the phone/per email during implementation phase and ad-hoc in operations. Go-to-Market: follow-up progress on implementation of projects and for specific requests (availability, activation evaluation, …). Analytics: Ad-hoc basis to evaluate SAT (Site Acceptance Tests) and prequalification preparation/results. Suppliers and OEMs: phone or email on active projects and meeting face2face to maintain relationship and benchmark. Work Experience and Functional/Technical Skills 2 years minimum experience monitoring medium to large Solar PV installations in an SLA driven environment. Excellent analytical/computer skills with advanced working knowledge of standard industry software packages. Advanced of Solar PV systems is expected, and experience with Solar PV commissioning is a plus. Experience with the Meteo Control VCOM platform and hardware is highly beneficial. Experience with 3G/4G communications and networking configuration and troubleshooting is an advantage. Education and Certifications B.S. or B.A. in Math, Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering, or other technical field would be beneficial but is not essential. Industry recognized M&V certifications. Industry recognized asset management certifications.
