Our License Renewal Group is seeking a Senior Engineer that will be responsible for various technical tasks associated with ensuring the requirements of ASME Section XI are met during the work order planning process at Palisades Nuclear Plant.
Responsibilities
Due to continued growth, our Nuclear Services Group is seeking a Senior Nuclear Engineer specializing in ASME Section XI. This is a Full Time position working on site at Palisades Nuclear Plant (Covert, MI).
Provide ASME Section XI Code expertise to develop and review work orders for compliance to ASME and NRC regulations.
Perform independent research, reviews, studies, and analysis in support of regulatory/technical projects and programs.
Monitor changing regulatory trends and maintain knowledge of regulatory requirements, guidelines, practices, and industry standards of the nuclear industry within the realm of ASME.
Develop relationships with current and potential clients technical staff with regular interface to ensure client satisfaction as well as pro-active identification of support opportunities.
Provide input to project/program work schedule regarding the duration/scope of technical issues and the time/scope/effort involved in resolving them in order to implement project.
Ensure successful implementation of ASME Section XI such that NRC commitments are fulfilled
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering from an accredited university AND 10 years of experience in the nuclear industry or similar.
Minimum 2 years of ASME Section XI experience in the nuclear industry.
Excellent knowledge and understanding of regulations, regulatory agencies, and the regulatory processes supporting design and licensing of nuclear plants including the documentation that supports these processes.
Must possess knowledge and understanding of nuclear power plant design, and operations.
Must possess general knowledge of work order planning process at a nuclear power plant
Site coordination of implementation of ASME Section XI requirements, with a focus on Repair & Replacement activities
Ability to represent ENERCON and/or clients at NRC, INPO, ASME and other regulatory agencies meetings and workshops.
Must have strong organizational and excellent written and verbal communication skills, with demonstrated competencies in technical writing, facilitation, and decision-making.
Ability to work in time constraining regulatory environment while maintaining a quality product.
Must be able to work productively with other staff, at all levels, in a team environment.
Provide direct project support as an individual contributor or team leader on site at a nuclear power plant.
Technical proficiency in understanding general engineering, design, and the nuclear industry.
