ENERCON is currently seeking an Environmental Program Manager to join the team in Dallas, TX. In this role, you will have the opportunity to focus on managing an environmental advisory services contract, which includes evaluating, planning, organizing, and summarizing environmental consulting projects conducted by other firms throughout the U.S. and its territories and preparing white papers on a variety of environmental topics. This position involves minimal travel (<5%) and is heavily focused on written communication. This position offers the possibility of remote and/or office work. However, remote work must be conducted on a secure network and on a VPN to maintain data security and client confidentiality.
Responsibilities include:
- Review and analyze environmental reports for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with the client’s scope of work and ASTM, local, state, and federal regulations/standards
- Formulate independent conclusions regarding the presence of environmental conditions and risks
- Submit applications for reimbursement associated with site investigation and remediation activities
- Prepare memoranda summarizing environmental findings and recommendations
- Prepare white papers, figures, and presentations focused on a variety of topics, such as industry trends, changes in state and local regulatory environments, legal and economic drivers in remediation and risk-based corrective action, and training presentations
- Prepare scopes of work for advanced-phase site assessments and remediation activities in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations
- Prepare monthly and quarterly reports updating project and contract status
- Budget tracking and reporting
- Complete annual security training and ensure employees comply with security and training requirements
Required skills:
- Bachelor's degree in environmental science, engineering, geology, or related science.
- 10 years of environmental consulting experience, including project management and any of the following: environmental site assessments, subsurface investigations, remediation, asbestos sampling, air monitoring, LPST projects, dry cleaning projects, or NEPA projects.
- Ability to organize, manage, and complete multiple projects concurrently with varying scopes of work within short timeframes using personnel from locations around the country.
- Excellent written communication skills.
- Problem-solving and general scientific evaluation skills using laboratory data and trend analysis.
- Must successfully pass a credit check and pre-employment and periodic federal background checks.
- Review, sign, and maintain contract confidentiality requirements related to property and client-sensitive information.
- Must pass pre-employment and random drug tests.
- Must have a valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
- Computer skills, including knowledge of MS Office Suite. Database management and SQL programming skills are a plus.
- Additional consideration will be given with any of the following certifications: PE, PG, licensed asbestos inspector, 40-Hour HAZWOPER, wetlands permitting and/or restoration experience.
