What are the responsibilities and job description for the Business Analyst position at Energy Harbor?
Energy Harbor Retail Business Services is hiring an experienced business analyst. The selected candidates will possess a solid understanding and knowledge of generation O&M and Capital budgeting. This individual will work extensively with the Controllers Group, Retail management and Energy Harbor leadership to develop accurate economic analysis and reporting of Retail operations and sales activities. In this role, the analyst must maintain superior customer service to ensure reports are issued in an accurate and timely manner. This position is responsible for establishing project baselines in regard to scope, schedule, and various financial indices as well as effectively monitoring sales performance on a monthly basis.
Responsibilities include:
- Providing accurate, timely, and pertinent financial data to enable the leadership and retail employees to effectively manage their respective budgets.
- Developing monthly reports documenting Retail O&M and Capital expenditures and variances to budget
- Establishing and maintaining clear communication with the key stakeholders to accurately capture financial data and to effectively address issues pertaining to the budget
- Participating in Executive level Financial review meetings and provide relevant data and analysis in support of the Retail Variable Margin, O&M and Capital forecasts
- Maintaining processes that support a consistent, companywide approach toward managing executive reporting
- Leading by example, educating, and directing others on technical subject matters
- Managing diverse projects, processes and programs and actively seeking opportunities to build, challenge, and add value within the scope of the assignment.
- Providing a high level of customer service and continuous support to leadership, customers and peers.
Qualifications include:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related field or Associate's degree with experience
- At least 5 years of relevant experience (7 yrs with Associate's degree)
- In lieu of degree, a minimum of 11 years of related experience
- Proficient with SAP and Microsoft Office tools, including Excel, PowerPoint, Access and Word
