The Trading Analyst will handle data flows of renewable energy assets among internal and external platforms to distribute key performance metrics supporting commercial position optimization. The position will be responsible for maintaining P&L reports on and communicating key performance drivers to leadership. The position will frequently work with large data sets to produce analysis conveying market insights. The position will be exposed to the trading, operations, and settlements group and must have the ability to bridge the communication gap between various stakeholders. Position reports to the Term Trader, Power Trading.
Primary Responsibilities
The expected salary for this position, at commencement of employment, is between $60,000 and $76,500/Annual; however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements such as annual bonus, in addition to a full range of medical, dental, vision, life, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as vacation, sick time, and parental leave), dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if a candidate receives an offer of employment. If hired, employee will be in an “at-will position” and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.

- Monitor data flows into risk management system
- Implement processes to identify and resolve data flow discrepancies
- Build models conveying market drivers in asset P&Ls that quantify deviations between forecast, budget, and actual results to leadership
- Input deal transactions into risk management system reflecting deal structure
- Produce research to validate market assumptions
- Responds to internal requests from other departments for market data and analysis
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, or other related business field
- At least 2 years of experience related!
- Understanding of ETRM system functionality. Allegro
- Knowledge of power commodity markets under ISO’s. PJM
- Excel proficient with ability to manipulate large data sets for analysis
- Understanding of end-to-end energy market
- Experience with bid to build systems. Adapt2
- On- site 3 days!
