Overview
Kimley-Horn is looking for an experienced CAD Operator to join our TxDOT Survey team in Irving/Las Colinas, Texas (TX)!
Responsibilities
Conduct Survey Abstract research for various survey projects
Process field data files (points), use field sketches, photos, and reference maps to prepare surveys.
Prepare deed sketches, abstract maps, subdivision plats, ALTA Land Title surveys, topographic surveys, easement exhibits and other various survey related maps using AutoCAD Civil 3D and/or Carlson Survey.
Prepare Parcel exhibits for right-of-way mapping projects using Microstation Power Geopak V8i and/or Open Roads Designer
Prepare Right-of-way Maps using Microstation Power Geopak V8i and/or Open Roads Designer
Prepare metes and bounds descriptions
Coordinate work activities to maintain schedules and ensure quality control
Develop familiarity with Kimley-Horn’s practices, procedures, and standards
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent (associates degree )
3 years of relevant experience
Advanced knowledge and proficiency in Autodesk or Bentley products
Detail oriented, professional attitude, good communication, team player, self-starter
Strong work ethic, interpersonal communication/writing skills and desire to learn
Ability to work independently and with a team
