Overview

Barden Electric, Inc., a leading electrical contractor in Torrance, CA, is seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Electrical Estimator to join our team. The Estimator will play a critical role in identifying and securing new projects, contributing to the growth and success of our company.

Key Responsibilities

• Browse and review bid requests received via email.
• Evaluate projects to determine the best fits for Barden Electric, Inc.
• Build detailed and accurate estimates for potential projects.
• Conduct on-site job walks to gather information for estimating purposes.
• Follow up on submitted bids to maintain and enhance client relationships.
• Update and maintain the Excel bid log with current project information.
• Complete and submit proposals using our Word proposal form.
• Collaborate with the Estimating Manager to review and refine project estimates.

• Develop the ability to independently bid on projects and eventually take on a leading role in the estimating team.
• Identify and pursue new business opportunities to drive company growth.
• Contribute to increasing the company's field work and overall revenue.
• Demonstrate a commitment to growing with the company and enhancing our market presence.
  
  

Qualifications

• Experience in estimating within the electrical contracting industry .
• Strong proficiency in Excel and Word.
• Excellent analytical and mathematical skills.
• Ability to conduct thorough and accurate on-site evaluations.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
