Duties & Responsibilities
Design electronics packaging in high density large-scale systems using innovative techniques.
Perform tolerance analysis to ensure parts meet functional requirements.
Come up with concepts from high level requirements or problem statements, develop those concepts with various types of analyses, verify design through functional testing of prototypes, summarize results, and defend design in design reviews to peers and management.
Ability to perform and explain structural analysis to support design using a mixture of hand calculations and FEA.
Work as part of a high-performance team tackling large scale projects.
Interface with other groups outside mechanical engineering.
Create assembly and detailed part drawings using GD&T.
Utilize PDM to manage CAD files.
Must Have Qualifications, Experience, Skills & Education
5 years Semiconductor Industry or Commercial Electronics experience is a plus.
BS degree in Mechanical Engineering, and Minimum 5 years of professional experience is required.
Experience with locating features and datum structures is necessary.
In depth knowledge and experience designing machined and sheet metal parts required. Strongly prefer experience with other manufacturing processes such as injection molding, castings, 3D print, and others.
Experience working with PCBA packaging and PCB development process is strongly .
Proficient in Solidworks CAD and PDM software is required.
Working knowledge of Geometric Design and Tolerance (GD&T), per ASME Y14.5M
Knowledge of MSOffice tools. (e.g., Excel, Word, Power Point, Teams) necessary
