The Opportunity
Due to increased project expansion, an fantastic opportunity has become available for an experienced Quality Manager to join a highly competent workforce of chemical specialists to maintain all quality assurance processes to a successful standard.
The role
Our client requires a Quality Manager to ensure that their company remains compliant with the requirements of the current quality standard and that all documentation to support the system is accurate and readily available.
Your duties and responsibilities will be
To accurately complete all necessary documentation in a timely manner.
Work to assigned procedures as defined in the Management Systems.
The effective maintenance and monitoring of the Quality Management System.
The resolution of appropriate non-conformities within the system.
Ensure that timely and effective action is taken by the appropriate personnel to obtain and maintain compliance with the quality system.
Regular management reviews of the Quality Management System.
Support combined Internal audit Schedule in accordance with MS
Organising, preparing data, etc. for regular non-conformance reviews – customer complaints & process non- conformance and monitoring of QMS objectives.
Effective corrective/preventive actions for non-conformances.
To comply with quality audit procedures and management review decisions.
Assist and resolve any appropriate quality problems as they arise from customer or supplier complaints, production and QC testing.
Ensure that the Company Quality Manual, system registration and revision procedures are maintained and liaise with certification representative as and when required.
Set annual quality objectives for quality and monitor progress to achieve.
Maintain appropriate quality system records as detailed in the manual, e.g. review minutes, complaint meetings, trend analysis data, etc.
Develop new quality systems and update existing system as required.
Liaise with customers and suppliers on matters related to quality.
Managers and supervisors will be held accountable for all aspects of performance and standards in respect of those activities which are within their control.
Manage, issue and track documents within the QMS
Carry out internal audits, complete report, issue actions and follow up.
Contribute to the Quality Meetings & Reports on a quarterly and annual basis
Minute and manage actions from quality meetings as required
Immediately report any incident which management needs to address using the appropriate reporting systems in place.
Respond to required corrective and preventive action in a timely manner
Ensure that all duties/activities associated within the quality department are carried out in compliance with Health, Safety, Environment and Quality management systems.
Any other reasonable task requested by the Directors would also be included in the responsibilities.You will have the following qualifications & experience
Minimum of 5 years’ experience within Quality Assurance or similar industry.
Ability to complete root cause analysis and contribute to investigations
Excellent understanding of QMS and ISO 9001:2015
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Experience of KPIs & Setting objectives
A desire to work with team members to improve processes and product quality.
Flexible approach to working
Excellent attention to detail including housekeeping
Good knowledge of documentation practice
Able to use Microsoft Office.
BTEC / HNC in relevant subject.It’s great if you also have the following
Good understanding of sampling and product testing
Familiar with management systems [14001 & 45001]
Previous experience in manufacturing or chemical industry.
Understanding of chemical processes
Lead Auditor 9001.
