Key Responsibilities
Create comprehensive design packages, develop conceptual designs and specifications for bidding purposes, and evaluate alternatives.
Serve as the Lead Technical and/or Responsible Engineer for assigned projects, providing guidance and support to ensure successful project completion.
Follow field implementation, develop revisions, complete post-modification testing, and oversee the turnover of design products.
Work closely with selected vendors, AEs, designers, and internal teams to coordinate design efforts and conduct design package reviews.
Develop and validate setpoints for mechanical systems and components.
Perform evaluations and analyses of mechanical systems and components, ensuring optimal performance and compliance with regulatory standards.
Qualifications
Minimum of 15 years of experience in mechanical engineering, with a strong background in nuclear utility operations.
Current qualification as a Modification Engineer under an INPO Accredited Program is highly desirable.
Proficiency in Consolidated Asset Suite for design and work order development.
Ability to obtain qualifications as a Modification Engineer and Design Verification Engineer prior to independent work.
Demonstrated ability to exhibit sound technical judgment and provide guidance to the engineering and implementation team.
Proven capability to solve complex engineering problems with limited supervision and work with increasing independence.
