Requirements: Education and/or experience, knowledge, skills & abilities:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements for this position are listed below:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
8 years of experience, including experience in pipeline design, pipeline repair, corrosion control, and inspection and integrity.
Must have an understanding of all applicable codes and regulations such as 49CFR Part 195, Texas Administrative Code Rule 8.101, API 1162, and others.
Strong oral/written communication skills, administrative/organizational skills and analytical/problem solving skills required.
- Ability to effectively organize, plan, prioritize, document and complete work independently.
- Demonstrate initiative and ability to manage multiple work tasks and changing priorities.
- Ability to analyze data and apply critical thinking skills to generate options and solutions.
- Solid understanding of pipeline assessments, operations, maintenances and pipeline risk based asset integrity management.
- Strong computer skills including but not limited to solid proficiency with MS Excel, and pipeline risk software.
Preferred Qualifications:
- BS in Engineering (Mechanical, Chemical or Metallurgy).
Working Conditions: The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
1. Usually, normal office working conditions.
2. Must be able to remain in a stationary position at times due to prolonged periods of sitting or standing.
3. Travel, including overnight travel, required.
4. Occasional visits to industrial/manufacturing settings which may include hazardous materials and chemicals, as well as extreme temperature conditions and loud machinery, and require appropriate personal protective equipment.
