What are the responsibilities and job description for the Fuel Supply Manager position at Energy Transfer LP?
The Sunoco LP fuel supply team seeks a professional with a degree in accounting, finance, engineering, science, or
economics and a refined fuel supply chain background. Specific expertise working in OpenLink RightAngle is
preferred.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Responsible for managing all the rack fuel supply/exchanges in the designated geographies and for designated supplier
relationships for the Supply Department. This includes but is not limited to managing inquiries, strategy development and
implementation, contract performance, potential supply disruptions or demand changes, and economics. - Evaluate contract economics against a multitude of benchmarks to focus on buying strength, terminal reliability, and
customer satisfaction. - Negotiate major supply deals/ exchanges by developing relationships and communicating with 3rd party suppliers under
the direction of Supply Directors. Continually drive to improve buying strength economics by uncovering and implementing
new purchase alternatives. - Influence and evaluate deals with focus and appreciation on how transactions may impact entity economics and strategy,
including but not limited to partnership, midstream, trading, operations, sales, and transportation. - Ensure routine touchpoints with the sales teams and provide analytical support as it relates to rack fuel supply and
exchanges. - Identify and implement opportunities to improve existing supply processes.
- Guide, mentor, and assist in developing the Lead Specialists by understanding and supporting the departmental strategy,
systems and processes. - Some travel will be required.
Requirements:
Education and/or Experience, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential job duty satisfactorily. The requirements for this position are listed below:
- Bachelor's Degree
- 8 years of experience in Fuel Supply Chain
- Knowledge of the US fuels supply chain, including spot and rack markets and exchanges
- Specific knowledge and experience with OpenLink Right Angle preferred
- Expert-level capability with MS Excel
- Excellent communication and strong negotiation skills
- Must be an independent, self-starting professional
- Team player, excellent communication skills, and possess the ability to work collaboratively across many functional
teams.
