Job Title: UX Designer

Job Summary

The UX Designer is responsible for customizing Energy Worldnet, Inc. (EWN) user interfaces (UIs) and mocking new UIs to support the goals and vision of EWN using the latest design products and best practices.


In this role, the UX Designer ensures that the user interface (UI) customization and mockups adhere to EWN's goals and vision, promote usability and accessibility, and reflect the latest design trends and best practices, fostering positive user experiences.


The UX Designer must be able to collaborate effectively with stakeholders, customize Energy Worldnet, Inc. (EWN) user interfaces (UIs), and mock new UIs to support EWN's goals and vision.

Essential Job Functions  

  • Work closely with Product Innovation, stakeholders, and the Software Development Team in an iterative and feedback-driven process to create highly polished, visual layouts and interfaces based on user research, business requirements, and technical constraints
  • Engage with the development team to ensure completion of stories in line with the intended design
  • Collaborate with other team members to ensure consistency with established style guidelines and usability standards
  • Focus on designing web and mobile applications across the different application suites with effective and creative solutions to multiple user experience problems by producing journey maps and wireframes
  • Continue learning and improving a skillset in user experience
  • Participate in daily standup, backlog grooming, estimation, and other Agile Scrum ceremonies
  • Conduct UX research and tests to challenge assumptions and validate design decisions
  • Perform other related job functions as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Portfolio demonstrating a basic understanding of user interface design
  • One (1) year of demonstratable design experience in Figma or equivalent design tool

 

Preferred Qualifications and KSAs

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a related field OR comparable experience
  • Experience with UX research and testing
  • Knowledge of the Agile development model (SCRUM, work assignments, timelines, and team structure)
  • Oil, gas, or energy industry or SaaS business model experience

 

Job Specifications

FLSA Classification (Exempt, Non-exempt)-Exempt

Full Time, Part Time, Temporary-Full Time

Travel Requirement (% of 40-hour work week)-Up to 10% (Min. required based on 40-hour work week)

Work Arrangement (a blend of office and remote work as determined through a collaborative process between the employee and their manager)-Hybrid Remote

Shift (note and days)-Various 8-hour shift between 7am–5:30pm, M-F

Environment-Home Office, with occasional field work
