Compensation Range : $69,900 To $87,500
Compensation may vary based on applicant's work experience, education level, skill set, and / or location.
Job Purpose
The Service Estimator is responsible for preparing detailed cost estimates for maintenance, repair, and service projects within a power plant.
This role involves analyzing project specifications, assessing labor and material costs, and ensuring that estimates are accurate and competitive.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Review project specifications, blueprints, and technical documentation to understand project requirements.
- Calculate costs associated with labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractor services.
- Develop detailed cost estimates and proposals for maintenance and repair projects.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and procurement teams to gather necessary information and clarify project scope.
- Analyze historical data and market trends to ensure estimates are accurate and competitive.
- Prepare and present cost estimates to clients or internal stakeholders.
- Maintain a database of cost estimates, historical data, and vendor information.
- Monitor project budgets and provide updates or adjustments as needed.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications
- Education : High School Diploma or equivalent in field
- Experience : 2 -5 years in field of estimating experience, including 2 years technical training
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
- Proven experience in estimating within the power plant or industrial sector.
- Strong understanding of power plant operations, maintenance, and repair processes.
- Proficiency in estimation software and tools.
- Excellent analytical, mathematical, and organizational skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Attention to detail and ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
