Job Purpose
The Director, Global SIOP will be the process owner and coordinator for SIOP and SIOE activities at EnerSys. This role will be a change driver to implement and improve SIOP processes through a matrix organization. EnerSys has a complex data environment that the director will need to navigate to drive meaningful information flows. In SIOP monthly cycles, this individual will own the reconciliation and optimization process to drive effective decision making throughout the organization. The right person for the job will apply experience in implementing S&OP processes and driving accountability through appropriate metrics. This individual will influence the Financial Plan by supporting the continued relationship of SIOP into Integrated Business Planning.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Implement SIOP Processes in areas of the business that have not adopted to date.
- Review and recommend organizational changes to support process efficiency and effectiveness.
- Define and refine process and performance metrics over time to drive continuous improvement.
- Establish standards, policies, and associated processes to ensure SIOP is controlled and optimized.
- Lead cross-functional teams in a structured SIOP process with Metric Driven Process and Performance Accountability.
- Communicate applicable scenarios in Pre-SIOP/Reconciliation meetings to support decisions regarding capacity allocations.
- Facilitate SIOP meetings as necessary to review Demand Plans, Supply Plans, and Tactical Performance.
- Partner with Enterprise Data team to develop and cleanse any critical or emerging data that will support SIOP process and future predictive analytics.
- Understand strategic vision/priorities of global business to provide guidance and perspective as scenarios are requested and generated for SIOP review.
- Promote data literacy at the process and organizational levels.
- Provide regular updates to management on business cases, project plans and value added by SIOP.
- Other projects, tasks, and duties as assigned.
TRAVEL REQUIREMENT: Travel will vary in intensity and could involve extended trips both domestic and internationally to support various projects and initiatives. Travel is expected to average 10% per year.
Qualifications
- 10 years of experience with demonstrated career growth in a SIOP leadership role including Process Implementation. SIOP Software tool implementation experience a plus.
- College degree required. Advanced degrees and/or SIOP/IBP certifications preferred.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- Must be a change agent with a dynamic, motivating personality along with superior interpersonal skills that allow the candidate to challenge the status quo in a professional, inclusive, and motivational manner.
- Must be able to manage multiple projects and tasks with various deadlines.
- Must be able to identify new business processes that can realize value through SIOP improvement.
- Must be able to create and/or provide training and education for SIOP participants throughout the organization on the process and its interactions at multiple levels.
- Must be able to engage in the detailed SIOP process and provide guidance/perspective where necessary to support optimized scenario creation.
- Must be able to communicate (orally and in writing) in a professional manner when dealing with employees and management.
- Must be able to navigate various ERP systems and applicable data. Knowledge of SAP and MS Office Suite a must.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY: Indirect leadership to begin with opportunities for direct management to support SIOP organization.
