Job Purpose
Unloads and loads trucks, receive materials, verifies, counts and completes paperwork for freight in the Distribution Center.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Operates pallet/fork truck in a safe manner.
- Unloads and loads trucks, receive materials, verifies counts and paperwork, move freight to appropriate storage areas staging for First In/First Out (FIFO).
- Moves unused materials to appropriate storage areas, moves trash and recyclable material to appropriate areas, and runs trash compactor.
- Stages products ready to ship to dock area.
- Completes and verifies that all paper work is on pallets and pallets are labeled properly.
- Verifies order is complete before loading on truck.
- Maintains a clean and orderly work area throughout shift.
- Performs other work as assigned by the supervisor.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
- High School Diploma, GED or the equivalent.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a forklift operator certification/license
- Ability to perform data entry
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous forklift experience
- Experience in hazardous material handling
