The purpose of this position is to evaluate and improve existing manufacturing processes to improve product quality and increase efficiency. This position also researches, develops, and implements new processes, procedures, and equipment as needed.
BS Degree in relevant engineering discipline. Mechanical or Industrial Engineer preferred. Plus, a minimum of two (2) years of project- based engineering experience. A minimum of five (5) years of project-based engineering experience is considered as relevant work experience, absent a BS degree in engineering. Experience in Lead Acid Battery Manufacturing a plus.
Strong communications skills, both verbal and written. Effective in influential and instructional communications within various levels of the organization, and to outside agencies and contractors. Including the ability to provide concise and accurate status updates to senior management and to make technical presentations internally.
Strong computer skills including word processing, spreadsheets, and databases. Capable and a workable understanding in computer systems and software applications, to include design software, programmable control systems and Microsoft Office suite.
Comprehensive knowledge of manufacturing workflow, including planning activities. Complete knowledge of products and their applications.
Self-motivation and ability to work without close supervision
Must be detail oriented and organized.
Must be able to work with customers to define and document requirements, address technical concerns, and provide project status
