The job:
This position is for a talented and motivated individual looking to join our team as the
Interior Design Associate. It is an excellent opportunity for someone who is passionate about interior design, eager to grow their skills and ready to accomplish thoughtful designs in a dynamic and collaborative environment. Your daily responsibilities will vary, and it’s up to you to manage and prioritize your schedule. You will be working in our Kirkland, WA office full time. This is a great opportunity to get in with a solid company and become a major contributor to the team.
Qualifications:
- Proficient in design software such as Revit, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite
(Photoshop), Microsoft Excel & Publisher.
- Strong conceptual and visual presentation skills.
- Knowledge of current design trends, materials, and finishes.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Self-motivated and able to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Proven ability to work with multiple projects and manage competing priorities
- Highly organized with strong attention to details and follow-through
- A positive attitude
- Ability to learn quickly and apply common sense understanding to follow directions meticulously

Each day, you might have any of these responsibilities:
● Collaborate with senior designers, architects, and construction team to develop design concepts and space planning solutions.
● Assist in creating detailed design binders/presentations, including mood boards, material boards, 2D drawings and 3D visualizations.
● Conduct research on design trends, materials, and products to stay up-to-date with industry developments.
● Assist in sourcing and selecting all hard surfaces such as: flooring, tile, countertops, cabinets, paint, wallpaper, light fixtures, plumbing fixtures, exterior siding, etc.
● Create and update project documentation, including drawings, specifications, and design binders.
● Document, review and refine all sourced design materials in spec sheets.
● Support the team in coordinating with vendors, contractors, and suppliers for design related bids & orders.
● Assist in site visits to ensure design intent and quality standards are met.
● Provide general administrative and marketing support to the design team as needed.
