ENGINE is looking for a New York-based Editorial Strategist to lead the editorial voice of our world-class entertainment client on social media. In this role, you’ll build and manage monthly and daily social content strategy, while providing ongoing insights for editorial improvements. You’ll partner closely with the client and our internal creative team on the timely execution of always-on content, and ensure campaigns and themes are successfully communicated across multiple platforms.

Responsibilities:

  • Plan and organize larger social strategies to help grow and maintain the client’s social ecosystem
  • Develop monthly creative briefings for the internal team to create evergreen and promotional social content
  • Maintain direct communication with clients and work with them to ensure editorial agenda is fulfilled
  • Compile bi-weekly reporting to show month-over-month trends
  • Provide insights and recommendations to optimize and improve future content
  • Work closely with creative team to write and develop pieces of content to feed always-on channels 
  • Stay on top of digital and social trends, mining for insights that can inform editorial improvements

 

Qualifications:

  • 6+ years of content strategy experience at a digital publication or agency
  • Strong grasp of brand and digital marketing
  • Strong understanding of user-focused content strategy principles and best practices
  • Strong enthusiasm for digital trends and emerging technologies
  • Familiar with paid social strategies, analytics, and insight tools
  • Strong copywriting skills and experience
  • Strong client and inter-agency relations skills
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Interest or existing knowledge of current and classic film/TV
  • Highly collaborative and flexible; comfortable giving and receiving feedback
  • Thrives in a fast-paced, demanding environment
  • Proactive attitude
  • Solution-oriented
  • Google Slides, Sheets, and Docs proficiency required
  • Project management tool (Monday, AirTable) proficiency preferred
