AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITIES

As a Maintenance and Reliability Manager, you will lead and oversee the maintenance department to ensure the efficient operation of all machinery and equipment. Your primary responsibility will be to implement and manage reliability-centered maintenance strategies to enhance equipment performance, reduce downtime, and optimize maintenance practices.

SKILLS AND ABILITIES

• Develop and execute reliability-centered maintenance (RCM) strategies and programs.
• Analyze equipment performance data to identify reliability issues and implement solutions.
• Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for equipment reliability.
• Oversee the planning and execution of preventive and predictive maintenance activities.
• Coordinate with other departments to schedule maintenance activities with minimal disruption to operations.
• Manage maintenance resources, including personnel, tools, and spare parts, to ensure efficient operations.
• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of maintenance technicians and engineers.
• Provide training and development opportunities to enhance team skills and performance.
• Conduct regular performance reviews and address any performance or disciplinary issues.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance maintenance processes and reliability.
• Implement best practices and new technologies to improve equipment uptime and efficiency.
• Conduct root cause analysis of equipment failures and implement corrective actions.
• Ensure that all maintenance activities comply with safety regulations and company policies.
• Promote a culture of safety and environmental stewardship within the maintenance team.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and compliance documentation.
• Develop and manage the maintenance budget, ensuring cost-effective use of resources.
• Identify and implement cost-saving measures without compromising equipment reliability and safety.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Regularly works around moving mechanical parts and in outside conditions that include inclement weather, heat, and humidity. Noise level may be loud at times.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

 Must be able to move objects and use abdominal and lower back muscles to provide support over time without fatigue. Constant movement and use of limbs; this position requires good manual dexterity, coordination, and stamina. Must be able to lift 50 or more pounds at a time.

Qualifications

EDUCATION AND/OR TRAINING

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field. (Preferred)
• Proven experience in maintenance management, with a focus on reliability and continuous improvement.
• Strong knowledge of reliability-centered maintenance (RCM) principles and practices.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in maintenance management software and data analysis tools.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
