POSITION SUMMARY

We are searching for a candidate to fill our Paint Line Supervisor role in Greenville, SC. The Paint Line Supervisor role in a crucial position overseeing an industrial paint crew responsible for painting and inspecting metal beams and racks. This position involves managing employees, ensuring quality standards are met, tracking parts throughout the painting process, and maintaining accurate records of all parts and orders while communicating with team leads and leadership. Fluency in both English and Spanish is preferred for effective communication with the team.


AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Supervise and lead the industrial paint crew in painting and inspecting metal beams and racks.
  • Ensure adherence to safety protocols and quality standards throughout the painting and curing process.
  • Manage and schedule employees for efficient operation of the paint line.
  • Communicate effectively with bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish to facilitate smooth communication with the team.
  • Collaborate closely with the quality department to ensure products meet specifications and quality requirements.
  • Track parts throughout the painting process to ensure timely completion and delivery.
  • Maintain accurate records of all parts and orders using various systems.
  • Troubleshoot any issues that arise during the painting process and implement corrective actions as needed.
  • Conduct regular inspections to identify and address any maintenance or repair needs on the paint line equipment.
  • Assist in the preparation for shipment of all painted products.
  • Provide training and guidance to employees to enhance their skills and performance on the paint line.

  • Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish for effective communication with the team, preferred.
  • Strong leadership and supervisory skills to manage a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent organizational skills to keep track of parts and orders throughout the painting process.
  • Attention to detail to ensure quality standards are met.
  • Problem-solving skills to address any issues that arise during the painting process.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Knowledge of industrial painting techniques and equipment.
  • Familiarity with safety protocols and regulations in an industrial setting.
  • Strong communication skills to liaise with the quality department and other stakeholders.


EDUCATION AND/OR TRAINING

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Previous experience in a supervisory role in an industrial painting or manufacturing environment.
  • Training in safety protocols and regulations relevant to industrial painting.
  • Forklift operation experience.
  • Knowledge of inventory management systems and record-keeping practices.


WORK ENVIRONMENT

Regularly works around moving mechanical parts and in outside conditions that include inclement weather, heat, and humidity. Noise level may be loud at times.


PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Must be able to move objects and use abdominal and lower back muscles to provide support over time without fatigue. Constant movement and use of limbs; this position requires good manual dexterity, coordination, and stamina. Must be able to lift 50 or more pounds at a time.
