Job Summary:
Senior Pipe Designer leads piping team members and develops drawings in conformance with project specifications, scope of work, design parameters, codes, and industry practices, and have a working knowledge of: process piping and piping systems; Piping and Instrument Diagrams (P&IDs); Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs); Piping Material Specifications; and valve and instrumentation types

Duties/Responsibilities:
- Conduct necessary fieldwork inclusive of walk downs of current systems, locate tie-ins and measuring.
- Implement the vast majority of drawing deliverables.
- Capable of completing design and project deliverables with minimal input from the project lead
- Creation of design drawings such as: isometrics and plant layouts.
- Strongly motivated, well organized, and shows professional initiative.
- Takes ownership of assignments, can work both independently and as part of the team.
- The ability to work independently as well as in a team environment effectively.
- The ability to work in a fast-paced and challenging environment.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Ability to lead piping project team and provide guidance to less experienced designers.
- Interface with Client
Education and Experience:
- 2 year Associates degree in related field is preferred.
- Be in good standing with DISA.
- 10 years of experience working in a refinery or chemical plant.
- Possess knowledge of industry standards including AWS, ASME and API.
- Must have authorization to work for any U.S. employer.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office for daily inter-office communication and documentation
- Experience in 2D/3D modeling utilizing one of the following: PDS, Bentley, Plant 3D or AutoCAD
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Occasional climbing
