Production Test Technician - 2nd shift

• Permanent position for a production test technician for testing of specialty optical fiber and cables using advanced test and measurement equipment.
• Position is 2nd shift.
• Support Test & Reliability Engineering.
• Monitor and maintain production test process flow, equipment health and continuous improvement efforts.
• Input key test measurement attributes into the manufacturing database for ability to trace equipment performance.
• Report production status daily using visual controls and adjust based on ahead or behind.
• Use necessary tools, such as accountability board, A3 forms, standard work sheets, layered audits, visual controls, FMEA, 6S and
• SPC.
• Initiate, lead and participate in lean events and cost savings projects.
• Confirm in-process quality meets standards and specifications.
• Maintain daily layered audits and checklists.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 2 years experience as machine operator working in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to read and understand complex manufacturing drawings and process layouts.
• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing System concepts and associated tools preferred.
• Knowledge of Material Flow, Shop Floor Control, and ISO 9001:2000 requirements preferred.
