Structural Engineer

• Permanent position for a Structural Engineer for design and project management of bridge improvement projects.
• Utilize AutoCAD Civil 3D or MicroStation for design. Position is with a well established engineering services provider for transportation systems and various facility projects.
• Develop bridge project specifications and construction cost estimates.
• Conduct structural bridge calculations and complete design reports.
• Support the Project Manager in developing and implementing project schedules, budgets, and staffing needs.
• Collaborate with transportation team and with other disciplines and delegate tasks as needed.
• Interface and communicate with clients for project needs.
• Work with management on proposals and business development.
• Perform site inspection of bridge construction contractor.
• Coordinate with all applicable regulatory agencies and utilities.
• Attend professional society meetings and technical seminars.

• BS Civil or Structural Engineering
• Minimum 4 years of experience in NJ bridge design projects.
• Requires an EIT, but PE license preferred.
• Experience with MicroStation and AutoCAD Civil 3D.
• Experience with Microsoft Office.
• Familiar with design standards and guidelines including NJDOT, AASHTO, and NJTA.
• Highly motivated, with strong interpersonal and written and verbal communication skills.
• Willingness to represent company at professional societies and technical seminars.
• Ability to read and interpret construction plans and specifications.
