We are seeking a Mechanical Engineer II.
This is an on-site role at the Naval Weapons Station, Yorktown, VA.
Principal Duties/Responsibilities:
- Provide engineering support to develop technical repair procedures and test equipment for NATO Sea Sparrow Missile System Depot located at Naval Weapons Station Yorktown.
- This work will be completed in Bay 6 of Bldg. 476 at Yorktown Weapons Station. E63 Branch Manager will be local POC.
- Technical Repair Standards will describe how to overhaul an asset to include inspections, repair processes, disassembly and reassembly instruction, and Final Acceptance Testing.
- Instructions shall provide enough detail to restore assets to like new condition after being overhauled using the technical repair procedure.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or 6-10 years of naval combat systems, weapon systems, and/or general electronics experience.
- Ability to test and repair at the component level.
- Ability to identify the correct test equipment required to correctly test/identify issues.
Security Clearance:
Must hold an active Department of Defense (DoD) SECRET personnel security clearance.
Salary : $70,000 - $80,000
