Position Impact

Ensure daily customer shipment paperwork is accurately processed for assigned customer group

Essential job functions

• Create accurate Bill of Ladings for all outbound shipments
• Manually manifest parcel shipments as needed
• Validate and resolve discrepancies between pick tickets and the manifesting system prior to routing
• Validate that ASN information has processed completely in the manifesting system before finalizing and routing.
• Ensure the accurate and timely submission of ASN’s to customer systems in compliance with customer receipt specifications.
• Process, review and validate the Unconfirmed Pick Ticket Report
• Properly utilize customer routing systems and ensure strict compliance with their routing guidelines to prevent shipment chargeback penalties.
• Monitor and schedule shipping appointments
• Consolidate freight orders into truckloads for specific destinations
• Route all “Collect Freight” customer orders in a timely manner ensuring compliance with the customer routing guide.
• Route “Prepaid Freight” shipments ensuring maximum efficiency standards

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Forklift and Pallet Jack experience or interest/ability to obtain preferred
• Minimum 1 year experience in logistics, warehouse or distribution environment
• Minimum 1 year experience with computer systems used in logistics, warehouse or distribution environments
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to exercise good judgment in evaluating situations and making decisions

ADA requirements

• Frequently required to sit; talk or hear and use hands to handle or touch objects or controls
• Regularly required to stand and walk
• On occasion, may be required to stoop, bend or reach above the shoulders
• Must occasionally lift up to 25 points
• Vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus
